Ding Junping

  Ding Junping works in the School of Politics and Public Administration in Wuhan University in P.R. China. She’s also the vise director of the Center for Studies on the Socialism with Chinese Characters, and the director of the Institute for Political Party Studies.

  Educational Background:

  Bachelor of Politics, majoring in History of CCP, Renmin University of China,

  Master of Politics, majoring in History of CCP, Renmin University of China,

  PhD of Politics, majoring in History of CCP, Beijing Normal University,

  Visiting scholar, the Service Centre for China Studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

  Working Experience in Education:

  Became a teacher in Wuhan University in July, 1982, engaged to be an associate professor in 1991, appointed as professor in 1996. Held concurrent posts successively as subdean, administrative subdean, Secretary of the Party Committee (1992-1995, 2001-2003), and dean of the School of Politics and Public Administration(2003-2007), etc.

  National Planning of Philosophy and Social Science,

  Administrative trustee member of the Society on the Historical Figures of the CCP,

  Administrative trustee member of the Centre for World Socialism Studies in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,

  Director of CPC Party Literature Seminar

  Director of the History of the People’s Repuclic of China,

  Visiting Professor in various Universities and Party Schools, including: China Executive Leadership Academy, Yan’an, China Executive Leadership Academy, Jinggangshan, Sichuan University, Capital Normal University and South-Central University for Nationalities, China Executive Leadership Academy, Pudong, etc.

  Main Research Area:

  History of CCP; Sinicization of Marxism; Theory of Marxism on political party; Ruling party construction and politics in contemporary China.

  Main Teaching Works:

  Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Outline of Modern and Contemporary History, History of Chinese Communist Party, Comparative Research on Chinese and Foreign Political Party, Theoretical and Practical Studies on the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, and Sinicization of Marxism, etc. Supervisor for M.A and Ph.D in History of CCP and Sinicization of Marxism.
